Reinventing the way we work with systems thinking

Design and run your business to move away from the traditional ways of working, and work flexibly maximising the abilities of all your employees. Those that do this demonstrate that their employees contribute far more within a more flexible, and collaborative way of working.

Despite reams of books and conferences over the past years, the way that almost organisations work today is still rife with problems that keep surfacing, despite the efforts we put in to fix them. Most organisations still follow a way of working and structure that was designed for our working environment 100 years ago.
- silo working between departments.
- hierarchies of managers, full of bureaucracy and infighting.
- despite reams of data and charts, a lack of really knowing what is going on until after the event.
- different parts of the organisation pulling in different directions.
- we are mired by our own systemic disabilities.

The reason they persist is that they simply cannot be easily 'fixed' This list are symptoms of deeper aspects of how the organisation works, that needs to be understood.
Make a difference with systems thinking expertise, experience and methods...
UNDERSTAND you and your business. We will work with you to understand the real problems to solve, and develop a realistic strategy for change.

INNOVATE  with your staff, try out new ways of working to evaluate alternative ideas and develop what is right for you and your customers. Where the new tried and tested new way of working can emerge.

And we will help you implement this into your organisation in a way that is not just another change initiative,  we use our experience to leverage the learning from others that have been doing this. Key to making change successful is in using a test and learn iterative method to discover the most effective way forward.
Real change does not happen with project management, or technology, it happens by creating together with your people.

Bayer and Corporate Rebels

There are now a host of organisations like Bayer that are re-inventing the way they work, leaving behind the old ways working that we have all grown up with.
Your managers develop a systems perspective that sees the organisation, not as a series of departments, but as a dynamic complex end to end flow starting with the customer experience.  Re-design your service  around your customers.

Self managed teams

An empowered team is different; they are a team that thinks and acts for themselves. They have been liberated from restrictive organisation constraints. They need managers to enable them to thrive; flexibly working to deal with the customer, empowered to deal with issues.

A learning organisation

People who are continually enhancing their capabilities to create in response to the changing environment around them. Local  improvement through the reality that is close to where we experience the reality of work.

Uncover innovation of each of your people

The future of management lies, not in asserting ourselves better, but in the innovative ways we engage with and liberate the potential of every person in an organisation. Move from central decisions and firefighting, to supporting and leading.

Systemic design and leadership

An increasing number of leaders sense a growing concern and dissatisfaction with yesterdays approaches, and they are looking around for something better. One that more reflects the reality of how organisations work and how to deal with that complexity. Management of progressive organisations is less about telling people what to do, and more of enabling staff to work collaboratively. The current mindset and skills that leaders are taught today, have been around for decades. They originated from the core of the industrial revolution, based on a simplistic view of how organisations should work.

Systems change

This is the ability to view, understand, and design and act on the service and the organisation holistically. We understand how the system truly behaves, so we can therefore make a real difference in its design.
The outcome is a new type of understanding and methodology where service design and change can have a far deeper impact. And it can successfully used to help managers to deal with complexity.
